Innovation at the service of the tourism industry as seen by Catalonia

With more than a decade of experience, he is a tourism sector professional with an extensive career in the hospitality industry and the startup ecosystem in Catalonia. Since October 2022, he has been the Cluster Manager of the Tech Tourism Cluster. Graduated in Tourism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), among his previous experiences, he highlights his time at successful startups such as Waynabox or Welcome Pickups, whom he helped consolidate their presence in Barcelona; and, above all, his time as Innovation Director of the Barcelona Hotels Guild, a position he held between 2019 and 2022, and which was marked by his desire to develop and transform a traditional sector by introducing new concepts and existing methodologies to the market. At the same time, he combines his work at the head of the cluster with that of associate professor at different universities specialized in tourism and business, teaching classes in the field of innovative business development and business strategy.
