Stories from the Future: Imagining Work in the Tourism Industry in 2036

Bénédicte Fouquet is the Assistant Director of Organizational Development and Training at CQRHT. Bénédicte has been with CQRHT for more than three years, where she works on projects related to skills development, human resources, and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has worked in tourism and other sectors, which has given her a broad perspective on operational and management practices. This diverse experience informs a pragmatic approach focused on the real needs of managers and teams. Bénédicte leads initiatives that promote skills development, corporate culture, and employee engagement. She designs training programs—including e-learning modules—and collaborates closely with partners in the tourism industry to implement on-the-job training and work-study programs. Convinced that sustainable leadership rests on the ability to inspire people, drive cultural change, and develop key skills, she is particularly interested in the strategies that enable organizations to enhance their agility and performance.

Moez KACEM, currently Director of Skills Development at CQRHT and a university professor of hotel and tourism management since 2003. He also has extensive experience in international consulting. Specializing in sustainable development and climate change, he has led several strategic projects on behalf of African governments. He has contributed as an expert to the design of two tourist resorts in Morocco and Senegal. He certifies several hotel groups in sustainable development, including Accor, Club Med, Hyatt, and Radisson Blu. Moez is also a member of several international associations, notably AMFORHT (the World Association for Hotel and Tourism Training, based in France) and a member of the expert committee of the IMTA (International Mountain Tourism Alliance, based in China).

Laurence Giuliani is an author and director of destination narratives, and a facilitator of design fiction workshops aimed at collectively imagining sustainable futures. She is also the author of the book *New Narratives in Tourism and Culture*, in which she explores the human need and joy of telling stories.
