Emilie Marcil has been a research professional at ExperiSens since 2021 and a lecturer in tourism at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec. With more than 20 years of experience in the tourism field, she now puts this expertise to work in applied research and training. Her work focuses primarily on tourism in transition, the integration of digital tools in the management of tourism establishments, and the social dynamics that shape the tourism experience. She also assists organizations in modernizing their hospitality strategies and internal practices in order to align their operations with customer needs and the current realities of the sector. In her research, Emilie favors qualitative methods, which allow for an in-depth understanding of how organizations function, an appreciation of the challenges they face, and an awareness of the diversity of perspectives. This approach enables her to produce concrete recommendations that are directly applicable and tailored to the objectives of her partners. She adopts a collaborative and knowledge-transfer-oriented approach in order to support tourism organizations in their transformation projects while contributing to the training of the next generation in the sector.
