Les Grands Remous brings together people who want to understand, question, and work together to find answers to the changes that are shaping the future of tourism.

To achieve this, we are expanding the ways in which people can come together, exchange perspectives, and take action:

  • Flagship conferences that offer a chance to step back and reflect on the major transformations taking place in the industry.
  • Case studies and firsthand accounts to provide inspiration, discover initiatives, and understand what works—and what doesn't.
  • Discussions and debates to share different perspectives and challenge the way we do things.
  • Participatory workshops to collectively seek solutions to the challenges encountered in the field.
  • Events and networking opportunities to bring together different areas of expertise and foster new collaborations.

Warning: Turbulence ahead!

Adapt to change or let it catch up with us?
Inflation, climate change, geopolitical instability, an aging population, shifting expectations, artificial intelligence: the conditions of the journey are changing rapidly. Which customer segments are emerging, which are disappearing, and how can we adapt our offerings? This track explores our ability to detect signals, test new approaches, and make our organizations more agile in the face of uncertainty.

Growing without stepping back

Should we evolve the tourism offering or preserve what gives it its value?
Tourism transforms the places it enters. But to what extent can we change them without distorting their essence? Heritage, accessibility, the environment, climate adaptation, economic vitality, and quality of life do not always point in the same direction. This thread explores the trade-offs necessary to develop vibrant, distinctive regions that are capable of remaining true to themselves.

When the machine plans the route

To be visible to humans or readable by algorithms?
What if, in the future, travelers no longer chose their own destinations but let an AI agent do it for them? Data, algorithms, platforms, and recommendations are already redefining visibility in tourism. This trend raises questions about the new power of tech intermediaries and our ability to remain visible, desirable, and in control of our own narrative.
